Water Bearer Fountain (1916)

Water Bearer Large.jpg

Another fountain from the studios of Motto and Rebeck, this work was exhibited at the Builder’s Exhibition at the Wigmore Coliseum in February 1916.  The Cleveland Topics reported:  “The most notable fountain of the exposition is from the studios of Motto and Rebeck, 11634 Euclid Avenue.  This shows a slim Italian lad with a water carrier’s skin about his shoulders and with the simple grace of youth.”
